Sunday School Classes for all Ages

Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share.    1 Timothy 6:18

We offer classes beginning at 9:30, during the 9:30 – 10:30 AM Service as follows:

• Children ages 2 – 3, Preschool, Kindergarten, and Grades 1, 2, 3, and 4 meet in the lower level of the church building.

• Grades 5, 6, 7, and 9 – 12 and the Adult Class all meet at The House, next to the church.

• Grade 8 meets in the chapel area of the church building.

The Adult Class members provide leadership, and lively discussion is always a part of this weekly group.  Newcomers are always welcome!

Confirmation Studies

Teach me knowledge and good judgment, for I believe in your commands.  Psalm 119:66

8^th Grade Students participate in the Confirmation Program.  This is a full year of preparation for membership in the United Methodist Church of Hudson.

Students meet on Wednesdays after school.  Retreats and class trips are also a part of this program.

                                                                                                                                                                          

Disciple Bible Study

If you make my word your home you will indeed be my disciples.  John 8:31

Disciple is a program of disciplined Bible study aimed at developing strong Christian leaders. The focus is on “ the disciple” as learner, believer, follower, proclaimer, and servant.

The weekly class commitment is for 2 ½ hours.  Daily reading/study takes 30 – 45 minutes.  The courses last 32 to 34 weeks, depending upon which level you study.

Vacation Bible School - For Summer 2003, click here!

During the summer, we offer Vacation Bible School to children of our church family and the community.

This weeklong adventure is full of fun, excitement, learning, and faith development for children from pre-school through 6^th Grade.  We explore the week’s theme through music, stories, crafts, games, and even snacks!

Short Term Studies

Short Term Christian Study classes are offered during various times of the month.  Topics vary from selected Bible Studies to financial planning.

There is a Short Term Book Study for Men, two Thursdays a month at 6:45 AM.  They meet at The House. 

A Short Term Book Study for Women takes place one Monday evening a month, as part of Hope Circle’s meeting, and a new group has begun on one Tuesday evening a month.

Library / Children’s Library

Books in the church library may be checked out (honor system).  Our titles are varied and everyone is encouraged to find something to read.

The library is now located off of Fellowship Hall on the main level..

The Sunday school will be hosting Rebecca J. on February 23, 2003 during the Sunday school hour 9:30-10:30 a.m. 

While she is here, she will be speaking on peace and conflict resolution in Fellowship Hall with the elementary age students involved in rotational Sunday school and any interested adults.  She will also have a display table with various resources that can be purchased for use in the home.  Please make a point of stopping by the table either before or after the church service to see what resources you may find helpful in your own home.
