Members of JOY Fellowship fill backpacks at one of their get togethers.
Packpack Program at E.P. Rock and North Hudson Schools ...
In the fall our church will be participating in the Hudson Area Backpack Program. We will be providing food for families in need at E.P. Rock and North Hudson Schools in Hudson, WI. Coupons for milk and bread will also be included in the packpacks this year.
Food needed to fill the backpacks include:
1 - 12 oz. or 12.5 oz. can of either Chicken or Tuna
1 box of Chicken Helper or Tuna Helper
1 - 15 oz. can of (child friendly) vegetables
1 - 6 pack of applesauce
1 - 6.5 oz. package of muffin mix (no boxes)
A collection box is available in the Fellowship Hall. Donations for the cost of filling a backpack - approximately $10 -- are also very welcome and appreciated. Coupons for milk and bread, which cost $6 each, will be included in the backpacks this year so we are not only collecting food supplies, but money for milk and bread as well. Members of the Girls Scouts have assisted with the Backpack program by helping fill backpacks.
